It all started when i was 15 and i read a book of philosophy called "Plato and a platypus walk into a bar". Since that day i began to love philosophy. The years passed and i started to get into political philosophy, so i decided to study "political science" because my parent taught that i would not have a prosperous future as a philosopher.
When i was even younger, my dream was to study rights at Universidad de Chile (an awful dream if you ask me now). The career changed, but the institution stayed. I am the second generation of university students in my family, and the first "son of Bello", so it was an honor for my and for my parents.
Universidad de Chile does not have (yet) the Political Science career, so the closest career is Public Management. Another option that i had is to study in Pontificia Universidad Católica, but for ideological conflict i decided to not to study there.
I have not enjoyed so much the career. It was not what i expected. I do not like the "Management" area, i prefer the "Political" area. By far my favorite Subject is "Ideas y debates políticos contemporáneos".
However, my expectation are to end well the career so I can get my master in political science and be a University Teacher.

I was asked to think about some changes I could do to my study program. I realized that my study program has few flaws. Maybe infrastructure...
I had the same problem with the Catholic University, ideological conflicts
ResponderEliminarIt's good that you respected your ideological beliefs and did not enter to the Universidad Católica just because of the career. I think it is something that should be taken into account when choosing a university, since it will train you as a professional.
ResponderEliminarI think that a lot of us dont like the
